As the Amber Alert in B.C. continues, authorities suspect that the alleged abduction of two children was carefully pre-planned, and the adults involved may have intentionally gone “off the grid.”
The missing children, eight-year-old Aurora Bolton and 10-year-old Joshuah Bolton, are believed to be accompanied by their mother Verity Bolton, her boyfriend Abraxas Glazov, and their grandfather Robert Bolton. The police have released photos of all the adults involved, as well as the children, in an effort to aid in their search.
In an update on Monday, the Surrey RCMP shared credible information suggesting that the group might be living in trailers somewhere in a rural area. They emphasize the crucial role the public can play in locating Aurora and Joshuah, urging everyone to be vigilant and report any tips or possible sightings.
After an 11-day Amber Alert, investigators from Surrey RCMP announced that the two missing children have been located in Alberta.
The kids were discovered on a rural property near Edson, Alta., at approximately 7:20 p.m. on Saturday. Alongside them, three adults were apprehended, including the mother and her boyfriend.
Following the incident, both the mother and her boyfriend have been charged with abduction and are presently in custody.
Cpl. Vanessa Munn from Surrey RCMP stated that the children were safely handed over to their father, who was awaiting them along with investigators at a local detachment in Alberta. The property where they were found was secured for a thorough search scheduled for Sunday.
Throughout the 11-day search, the police received an astounding 435 tips from the public, spanning across British Columbia and Alberta.
Cpl. Vanessa Munn expressed the family’s immense gratitude as the children were reunited with their loved ones. She acknowledged that this positive outcome was the result of the relentless hard work and dedication of the investigative team.
