Western Prairie Junior Klippers Announce Nicki Robinson as Assistant Coach
The Western Prairie Junior Klippers have also announced Nicki Robinson as their Assistant Coach.
Nicki brings an abundance of female hockey experience to their coaching staff, along with an unwavering passion for the game. She grew up playing on West Central female teams in Eston before moving away to have a role with university and semi-pro clubs, playing both forward and defensive positions
She says her past team’s victories on the ice are attributed to the fun, positive, and supportive environments. She has always valued the camaraderie of the sport and saw first-hand how a great off-ice team factors into winning, with five provincial titles, a gold medal at the Sask. Winter Games, back-to-back ACAC championships, a bronze medal at the Canadian Winter Games, and an overseas championship win in Australia. Nicki’s transition from player to coach is a natural leadership progression for her.
Nicki’s coaching journey already includes a shining moment – she contributed to a gold medal win as an assistant coach at the Alberta Winter Games. With years of dedication to the rink in additional various roles such as scouting and instructing camps, she is looking forward to moving into coaching and inspiring our players to achieve their full potential both on and off the ice.
Welcome, Nicki!
