The hangar at the West Central Events Centre was rocking with anticipation of the Kindersley Jr. Klippers new season. Even though this was an exhibition match with the Humboldt Broncos, confidence was high. A new coach, some new players and an increased sense of “we want more” attitude, gave the Klippers a 2 to 1 win on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Returning goaltender Logan Falk stood head and shoulders above the rest and even garnered the 1st star of the game; letting in 1 goal on 40 Humboldt shots. The Perlinger brothers along with Ethan Sautner played a strong game and are looking to make the final cut.
748 fans came out to cheer on the boys in blue and green. Next home game is on Wednesday, September 13 against the Battleford North Stars in another exhibition match up.
