The Norman Ritchie Community Centre Management Board is excited to host their first Kindersley Trivia Night on Friday, September 22 with doors opening at 7 and the event beginning at 7:30pm.
“We decided to start Kindersley Trivia Nights after the purchase of the new projector by the Kindersley Players. We wanted to come up with ways we could make the most of the new equipment and thought this would be a fun idea,” shared Judy Lavoie of the NRCC Management Board. “The trivia questions will be projected onto the back wall of the NRC stage and this makes for a more fun, visually entertaining experience. This first one is going to be a trial run for us.”
“We have four rounds planned that are mainly guess the song and artist with a bit of guess the next lyric and it is mostly rock music with some pop and country music mixed it. Team sizes can range from one person to six people,” she shared. “Mainly it is something fun and different to do in Kindersley where people can have some drinks and have a good time with friends.”
Looking ahead, the Kindersley Players have an exciting lineup in store for future Trivia Nights, and hope to make this a monthly or bi-monthly event. Plans include a movie-themed trivia night and another musical night, likely for November. As the event gains traction, the organizers are open to suggestions from the community for themed trivia nights. Ideas such as a Harry Potter trivia night or The Office trivia are on the horizon, offering something for everyone.
