Kindersley Resident Vickie Newmeyer Awarded SEDA Lifetime Achievement Award
Kindersley resident Vickie Newmeyer was awarded the SEDA (Saskatchewan Economic Development Alliance) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes lifetime achievement and excellence within the community and economic development field in Saskatchewan.
Newmeyer has spent thirty-plus years serving small businesses and entrepreneurs in West Central Saskatchewan with Community Futures Meridian. She is “honoured and humbled by the nomination and receiving the award.” But she states “it’s not one person. She works with an amazing team that contributes to the success of the community.” The award is a compliment to Vickie’s hard work and enthusiasm for rural economic development.
Newmeyer will be retiring this year after a long successful career with Community Futures Meridian. She’s excited to see new thinking and things going on for the organization as she steps down from her position.
