Klippers VS Humboldt

It was not the start the Kindersley Klippers were hoping for on these home-and-home games against their rivals, the Humboldt Broncos. Friday night was not kind to our guys. The final score was 6 to 3 in favour of the Broncos which saw them score twice in the first 5 minutes with Easton Inglis sitting in the penalty box for 4 minutes for kneeing. And even though Kayden Ostrem scored the only Klippers goal in the 1st period, penalties didn’t make their job any easier.

Humboldt made the home team pay for their penalties as they buzzed around the rink. The Broncos are a strong skating team who take advantage of mistakes made by the other team. There is a reason they are currently undefeated. It’s a no-brainer that the Klippers will be out for revenge when they visit Humboldt on Saturday evening.

Even with the new seats in the WCEC, only 504 fans came out. Shots on goal were in favour of Kindersley by a slim margin of 37 to 35. Klipper goaltender Logan Falk should be returning to the line-up tonight as he was suspended for 3 games for leaving his crease and fighting while up in Flin Flon.

Next Klippers home game is Tuesday, October 31st when the Nipawin Hawks make their way south to “the hangar”. Puck drops at 7:30.
