Less Than ideal Travel Conditions on Hwy 5 East of Saskatoon

Rainfall has made for less than ideal travel conditions on Hwy 5 east of Saskatoon.

A contractor will be conducting maintenance including placing gravel in the area to help with the conditions.

This open section is less than 3 km long, and is about 15 km west of junction with Hwy 2. The area has potential to be muddy until the section dries or freezes up.

A detour to avoid the area is in place using Highway 41 or Hwy 16.

The multi-year Highway 5 construction project which includes widening and flattening of the hills will resume next spring.
