Suspect Sketches Released: North Battleford Homicide Investigation

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continues to investigate the homicide of Jordan Wright, which occurred on February 2, 2024, at a residence on 93rd Street in North Battleford.

Suspect Information

As a result of investigation, a Saskatchewan RCMP forensic artist composed sketches based on the following suspect descriptions:

  • Suspect #1
    • Male, believed to be in his late 20’s
    • Between 5’6″ and 5’8″
    • Medium build
    • Fresh facial acne
    • Wearing a dark sweater
  • Suspect #2
    • Male, believed to be in his late teens to early 20’s
    • Between 5’10” and 6’0″
    • Slim build with lifted shoulders
    • Thick gold chain around neck
    • Wearing a red sweater with Tupac graphic, Jordan brand high-tops, one earring, and red flat brim ball cap

The investigation remains ongoing. We will continue to release more information to the public as we are able to.

Backgrounder

On February 2, 2024 at approximately 5:56 p.m., North Battleford RCMP received a report of a shooting at a residence on 93rd Street in North Battleford.

Officers immediately responded and located a 32-year-old injured male, who was later pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.

Investigation has determined two males entered the house armed with weapons and an altercation took place. A firearm was discharged and the 32-year-old male was injured, he later died of his injuries. The suspects then fled on foot. The North Battleford RCMP searched the area with the assistance of North Battleford Police Dog Services.

Initial investigation has determined that this incident is not believed to be random in nature.

Saskatchewan Major Crimes is investigating the death as a homicide and is releasing the name of the victim to help further the investigation. He is being identified as 32-year-old Jordan Wright of North Battleford. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.

Police are asking anyone who may have information that would help the investigation call 310-RCMP or 911 in an emergency. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.

Residents will notice an increased police presence over the next few days as officers continue to investigate.

Further updates will be provided as they become available. Saskatchewan RCMP do not believe there is an imminent public safety risk at this time. If an imminent public safety risk is identified, the public will be notified immediately.
