Saskatchewan’s Baseball Hall of Fame

Have you heard about Saskatchewan’s Baseball Hall of Fame?

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was founded by Dave Shury in 1983 and annual inductions have been held every third Saturday in August since. With Dave’s passing in the fall of 2008, wife Jane Shury has taken the reins of the organization.

Located at 292-22nd Street West, Battleford, Saskatchewan, the museum displays thousands of uniforms, photos, baseballs, equipment, and trophies of the province’s baseball history. It also showcases how the sport shaped Saskatchewan, back from the 1800s to the present.

Outside the museum is Canada’s largest baseball bat, measuring up at 50 feet long. It was built in 2014 by Progressive Yard Works in Saskatoon.

However, over the past decade there has been a great decrease in memberships and donations to the Museum.

If you would like to purchase a membership (Regular – $25.00 [January 1 to December 31] 25 Year – $200.00), please call 306-441-5886
