Moose Jaw to Host 2025 BKT Tires World Men’s Curling Championship

The 2025 BKT Tires World Men’s Curling Championship will take place in Moose Jaw, as announced by World Curling and Curling Canada on Friday.

Scheduled from March 29 to April 6, the championship will unfold at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, with ticket sales starting on March 21.

Eeva Roethlisberger, the head of competitions at World Curling, expressed enthusiasm about bringing the men’s championship back to Canada next year. She praised Curling Canada for its exemplary partnership in organizing past World Curling events and is confident in their collaboration with the local organizing committee to deliver a remarkable event.

This championship will play a crucial role in determining the seven countries that will secure their spots for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Curling Canada’s CEO shared his appreciation for World Curling’s trust in choosing Moose Jaw as the next venue, highlighting the city’s proven track record in hosting significant curling competitions and its readiness to welcome the international curling community in 2025.

David Wood, the president of Visit Moose Jaw, also expressed excitement about the opportunity to enhance the city’s hosting reputation with the 2025 BKT Tires World Men’s Curling Championship. He looks forward to showcasing Moose Jaw to the world’s elite curlers.

Moose Jaw has a history of hosting curling events, including the 1983 world women’s championship, the 1979 world junior men’s championship, the 2015 Scotties, the 2012 Canada Cup of Curling, and the 1994 Canadian senior men’s and women’s championships. The city is also preparing for the 2024 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship in March, marking its second consecutive year hosting this event.
