RCMP Investigating Shooting in Major, Sask.

Police are asking the public for information after officers from Kindersley’s RCMP detachment were called to a house in Major, Sask. just after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning following a reported shooting.

“Investigation determined an unknown individual or individuals discharged two to three rounds from a firearm, striking the residence,” the RCMP said in a release. “One bullet entered the residence, striking a piece of furniture.

“An occupant reported a non-life-threatening injury to police, which was treated by EMS at the scene.”

Anyone who has information about the incident or who saw anything suspicious in Major early Sunday is asked to call the Kindersley RCMP at 306-463-4642 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
