Klippers VS Flin Flon – Game 3 of Play-Offs

The hangar was LOUD on Tuesday night as the Kindersley Klippers played host to the league point leading Flin Flon Bombers in game 3 of these play-offs. The Klippers were down 2 games to 0 after being shut out twice up in Flin Flon on Friday and Saturday last week.

The hometown boys played hard and finished the first period tied at 1 a piece. Flin Flon potted 1 more in the 2nd and 3 more in the 3rd while we managed to get only 1 more. Final score was 5 to 2. So, now Kindersley is in big trouble as their next loss means their season is done and time to start reflection for the next season, at least those who will be coming back next year.

Flin Flon outshot the Klips only by a margin of 36 to 27 but they are an extremely well disciplined team and they played hard. They just kept on pressing and pressing and were relentless in their pursuit of the win. Not that Kindersley played bad. They also gave their all but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop the juggernaut that the Bombers are. Flin Flon finished with a league leading 91 points and only had 9 regular time losses all season.

Klippers back-up goalie John MacPherson dressed last night and played the final 5 minutes. Logan Falk was given the night off. Who will start the 4th game? Tough to say but I am betting John will be given the nod. He looked really good in the regular season when he was in so, who knows?

Wednesday night could potentially be the final game of the 2023-24 season for the Klippers. So, come out and cheer on our guys who haven’t stopped working hard all year. they certainly deserve our support. Puck drop is 7:30.
