Support the STARS Radiothon on April 9 and 10
Make a difference in the lives of those who live, work or play across Saskatchewan. Join us for our 4th Annual the Critical Care on the Air presented by BHP radiothon in support of STARS!
The two-day radiothon will be broadcast for 12 hours each day on April 9 and 10 on 40+ radio stations throughout Saskatchewan, raising critical funds to ensure STARS can be there for the next patient in need.
This exciting fundraising event will shine a light on the life-saving work STARS carries out every day across Saskatchewan and will feature inspiring stories from STARS crew, patients and their families. The radiothon will also illustrate how support from businesses, community organizations and individuals make STARS’ critical care missions possible.
Funds raised from the radiothon will go towards Saskatchewan operations putting the fuel in our tanks and the tools in the hands of our air medical crew. The provincial government provides approximately 50 per cent of the funds needed to operate STARS in Saskatchewan, and the remaining $10.5 million is raised annually by the STARS Foundation.
STARS carries out an average of eight missions per day across Western Canada and flew more than 1000 missions in Saskatchewan in the last year alone. This incredible level of service recently resulted in a historic milestone, when STARS flew its 10,000 critical care missions in Saskatchewan in late December.
STARS was built by the community for the community, and it is the community’s support that will enable STARS to continue its life-saving work in the province for generations to come.
When you support STARS, you help us provide critical care, anywhere. Please tune in on April 9 and 10 and call 1-877-507-8277 or go to criticalcareontheair.ca for a full list of participating radio stations and to donate.
