Ontario and Quebec are Canada’s long-standing COVID hotspots.
Canada surpassed 300,000 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus on Monday, marking yet another grim milestone for a country grappling with a worsening second wave.
As of 7:30 p.m. ET., on Monday, there were 301,902 confirmed infections in Canada. The death toll stood at 11,027. It comes just shy of a month after Canada hit 200,000 cases nationally.
