The Crafted Hand Expanding into the Retail Market

At The Crafted Hand, you will find many great services with another one to be added–a retail space!

Currently, owner Jen Ginther works part-time, cutting, styling and coloring hair, while Tyler Holland barbers full-time. Bailey Mclaren from Maidstone will be starting May 3rd! In addition to hair services, Cat Arnason and Celine Hoffman offer many therapeutic, specialty and relaxing massages. Justine McLean also offers sugaring, and therapeutic and relaxing massages.

But, not stopping there, Jen is now expanding into the retail space. “I’ve always dreamed of owning a salon and some type of retail store. When Veronica’s came up for sale, I knew it was the perfect building to create my dream. What made me decide to do this was when I went to a market last year. I talked with a lot of the Canadian retail vendors that were there, grabbed their business cards and left with a happy heart. From then on, I knew I wanted a store just like that!” shared Ginther.

What shoppers can expect to find on the retail side are handcrafted candles, crocheted items like dishcloths, slippers, stuffies, wooden signs, wreaths, printed totes and clothing, hats, doormats, macramé, handcrafted candies and chocolates, all-natural cleaning products, and bath and body products (just to name a few!). Ginther is also proud to share that all products are Canadian handcrafted.

“We essentially are a small business supporting other small businesses and I’m beyond excited for that! We want to be your one stop shop for handcrafted needs!” said Ginther.
