Israel’s Forces Raid a West Bank Refugee Camp

Israeli forces recently conducted a raid on a refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the deaths of at least six Palestinians, as reported by Palestinian health authorities. Concurrently, the Israeli military intensified its operations in Gaza, targeting densely populated urban refugee camps.

In Gaza, areas such as the Bureij refugee camp, Khan Younis, and Rafah have experienced shelling and airstrikes. Northern Gaza has seen significant destruction in recent weeks. According to the Health Ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza, over 20,900 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have died since the conflict began. The Ministry’s reports do not distinguish between civilian and combatant casualties.

Following an attack by Hamas in southern Israel on October 7, approximately 1,200 people were killed, and around 240 were taken hostage. Israel’s military action aims to rescue over 100 hostages still held in Gaza.
