Elizabeth (Betty) Anne Thomson nee Phillips, born on September 21, 1945 in Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Elizabeth, the beloved daughter of Wendell Phillips and Ethel Cober, was a woman who made room in her heart for everyone she met. She was known for her caring nature and thoughtfulness towards others. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard Thomson, her parents, and her brother. Betty leaves behind her cherished daughter Rianne and son-in-law Jason, as well as her adored granddaughter Sierra. Betty was passionate about reading books and tending to her garden. Known to many as “mama Betty”, she was a friend to all who crossed her path. Betty’s granddaughter was the apple of her eye, and she went above and beyond to be present for every special moment in her life. In honoring her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, donations can be made to the Luseland Credit Union to support the savings account she created for her granddaughter’s education – a testament to what she held most dear. Rest easy, Mom. You are reunited with Dad now. Your love and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. Love always, your daughter.
