War Veteran Capt. Tom Moore, raises millions towards COVID-19 efforts

On April 8th, Moore began his “garden challenge,” hoping to raise £1,000 for NHS Charities Together, which raises funds for UK hospitals. However, at the time writing, over 648,000 individual donations had been made to his JustGiving page, totalling a whopping £12.7 million (about 21 million Canadian).
(CNN) Tom Moore, the 99-year-old war veteran raising funds for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) by walking 100 lengths of his garden, has completed the challenge and raised more than £12 million ($15 million) in donations.
Moore walked the last 10 lengths of his garden on Thursday morning, aided by a walking frame.
