Kindersley Minor Ball Awaits Phase 4 Date Announcement

In the wake of Baseball Saskatchewan announcements on June 9th, Kindersley Minor Balls still awaits the date announcement for Phase 4 before proceeding with future plans.
On June 9th, Baseball Saskatchewan reported its Board of Governors adoption of Train and Play protocols that will be implemented in two phases, kicking off the same date Phase 4 comes into effect.
Baseball Saskatchewan’s secondary announcement let all baseball enthusiasts know that there will be no 2020 Provincial Championships this year. “We have heard from many of our members who have stated that their main area of focus will simply be to provide some type of a local baseball season for their teams and leagues,” the June 9th press release said. “We want to give them the ability to do just that and not worry about being done prior to Provincials.”
In response to this news, Kindersley Minor Ball noted that they will refrain from formal decisions until the date Phase 4 will take effect is announced.
“Once we have a solid date, myself along with the Vice President of Kindersley Minor Ball and the President of Kindersley Minor Sports will sit down, review both Softball Sask and Baseball Sask return to play documents and decide on the appropriate steps that will need to take place before we can return to play in Kindersley.” KMB President, Chad Miller said.
One of the next steps on the agenda would be to gather information from the community to determine the level of interest the community has in reviving the baseball season. “With the Provincial Championships canceled, we stand a good chance to lose a lot of interest from players and their families for the 2020 season.” Miller noted that putting off their decision for the 2020 season until Phase 4 is announced will help the families of interested players make the best decisions possible for the summer.
