Herchak Commits to Colorado College
The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers have announced that defenseman Jaxon Herchak has committed to Colorado College (NCAA Div. 1).
Jaxon was drafted by the Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers back in June with the clubs first round selection. Herchak had a great season last year, which was highlighted with representing Team Saskatchewan at the Canada Winter Games. Herchak was the Captain of the team, however they ended up losing in the gold medal game. Herchak was also a part of the the Warman Wildcats in the SMAAAHL.
The Klippers organization is excited to be a part of the Herchak’s development and help him work towards all of his goals.

The Kindersley Klippers organization is proud to announce the commitment of Jaxon Herchak. The Kindersley Klippers took Jaxon 2nd overall in this years draft. Jaxon comes to Kindersley after playing for the Warman Wildcats and Team Saskatchewan last year where he was the Captain of the team. Last year Herchak played in 38 games for the Wildcats compiling 9 goals and 13 assists. He followed that up in the playoffs with 8 points in 8 games. At the Canada Winter Games Herchak was named Captain of Team Saskatchewan and lead his team all the way to the Gold Medal game where they just fell short of the Gold Medal in overtime vs a strong team from Ontario.
Head Coach and General Manager Clayton Jardine says “we are excited to welcome the Herchak family to Kindersley. Jaxon is a committed, determined, well rounded defenseman that brings leadership qualities to the organization. I am excited to work with Jaxon and help him achieve his goal of developing into an everyday Division 1 hockey player. Here in Kindersley we are now committed to developing young men and helping them prepare for the Division 1 level”.
Jaxon adds ‘I am thrilled and honoured to sign with the Klippers. I think it is a great step for my development and I think Kindersley is the perfect spot for that to happen! I am extremely excited to see what the future brings as a Klipper.”
