19-Year-Old Driver Clocked Going 190km/hr in 100 Zone
What did this driver do to receive such a hefty speeding ticket?
An officer from the RCMP Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) unit was parked in an unmarked police vehicle and in the process of completing a traffic stop on Highway #35 north of Lipton when a car was clocked going 190km/hr in a 100 zone.
When the officer located and pulled the vehicle over, they asked the 19-year-old driver why they were going so fast. The driver stated that they wanted to “open it up.”
The driver was issued a $1,246 fine and a seven-day impound of their car.
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: speed limits are in place for a reason.
