Saskatchewan RCMP Write $1358 Ticket

Whether you’re hitting the roads, beach or water this August long weekend, let’s do our part to keep Saskatchewan’s roads safe. Drive the speed limit, wear your seatbelt, and never drive while impaired or distracted.

Recently, an officer from the Carlyle RCMP recently stopped a driver going over 2x the speed limit on Highway #13—going 204km/hr in a 100km/hr zone. Along with the hefty $1358 ticket, the driver was charged under the Criminal Code for operating a conveyance in a dangerous manner and their vehicle impounded for 30 days.

An officer from Fort Qu’Appelle #RCMPSK Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) unit stopped a Novice 1 driver on the Regina Bypass going 196km/hr in a 110km/hr zone!

The driver was charged with exceeding the posted speed limit by 50km/hr, issued a $1201.00 ticket – and his mother’s vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Remember, officers will be out and about conducting patrols across the province. If you have a complaint or emergency, please report it to your local detachment by calling 310-RCMP or 911.
