Sask First Program for U13-Aged Athletes
Hockey Saskatchewan is once again offering Sask First’s Female Futures Program as an opportunity for U13-aged athletes to experience a province-wide camp and tournament that promotes development to those looking to play Team Saskatchewan or are interested in pursuing hockey at the U Sports/College level.
The Female Futures will be broken into two (2) separate weekends. The first weekend will be a ‘CAMP WEEKEND’, held on April 26th-28th, 2024, in Regina, where the players will work through repetitions in various techniques – shooting, puck handling, skating, and checking followed by three (2) 45-minute games. Players will also go through the Hockey Canada Skating testing.
The 2nd and final weekend will be ‘TOURNAMENT WEEKEND, on May 10th-12th, 2024, in Regina, where players will participate in a four (4) game round-robin style, similar to the format used at Sask First Female U16 and U18.
Participants are expected to attend both the ‘CAMP and ‘TOURNAMENT.
